Singer Dee, Richie Spice salute moms
Recording artiste Singer Dee and Richie Spice have released an ode to mothers titled Treat Mama Good.
Produced by Singer Dee’s own Ten Toes Production label, the track was released in May.
“This song is about taking care of your mom when she’s alive, giving her the flowers when she is alive before it is too late,” Singer Dee said, in explaining the track’s meaning.
Working with Richie Spice for the first time, the connection between both artistes took a few years to materialise, resulting in a high-quality production that was well worth the wait.
“I had the song and I thought [Richie Spice] would be perfect for it, so I made a connection through a friend and he was so receptive and upbeat about the song. We met at the studio the next day, he had recorded his part as well, and everybody was so receptive,” he continued.
The official music video was released on September 7 and has been met with positive reception. With its powerful message, the song is bound to take flight and leave a lasting impact in the music scene.
“Everyone who has heard the song, they love it. From the radio to social media to the streets, it’s getting a lot of attention, even reaching countries such as Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, United States, and Canada. I think the message is really resonating with the people because it’s positive and I’m feeling good about it so far,” the singer expressed.
Singer Dee has released previous tracks like Ten Toes, Travel Fox, Stay Strong (Never Give Up), Depth of my Heart (Woman Mi Love Yuh), and Another Quarrel.
Singer Dee is gearing up for more new music in the coming months into the new year, as well as several upcoming performances in Canada.
“I want to continue to put out positive music, so you can stay tuned to what is coming next,” he added.
