DaCosta continues winning streak with three victories
Champion trainer Jason DaCosta continued his winning streak, saddling three winners on the 10-race card at Caymanas Park on Saturday.
This performance follows his six winners during the recent three-race Heroes’ Day carnival last weekend.
DaCosta’s standout winner was Mr Senator, who claimed Division Two of the $1.25-million Front Runner-sponsored Caymanas Park Announcers’ Trophy feature race.
Ridden by Eric Haughton, Mr Senator defeated Zulu Warrior (Raddesh Roman) by half a length in the Restricted Overnight Allowance contest over six-and-a-half furlongs (1,300m), finishing with a time of 1:21.0.
In addition to Mr Senator’s win, DaCosta’s other winners on the card were Alchemy of Souls, ridden by Phillip Parchment in the first race, and Fidelity, ridden by Anthony Allen in the fourth race.
Main Mistress, trained by Peter-John Parsard and ridden by Omar Walker, claimed victory in the Division One of the Caymanas Park Announcers’ Trophy feature race. She won by a length and a half ahead of Cookie Day N Night (Dane Dawkins) and Huntsman (Jaheim Anderson), finishing with an impressive time of 1:20.0.
It was the second winner on the card for Parsard, who saddled Rum With Me (Raddesh Roman) in the sixth race.
