#EyeOnMelissa: JN Group offices likely to remain closed on Monday
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica National (JN) Group has announced that its local offices are likely to remain closed on Monday, October 27, as Hurricane Melissa continues on a path that is expected to directly impact Jamaica.
In a statement on Sunday, the group said its emergency response mechanisms remain fully activated to safeguard employees, customers, clients, and company assets amid the threat of severe weather.
Despite the expected closures, JN Bank’s online platforms, including its website and mobile app JN Bank LIVE, will remain fully operational to facilitate local and international banking transactions. JN also advised members that wire transfers can still be done on Sunday, with transactions processed and settled in the overseas market on Monday.
Customers are encouraged to take advantage of this window to complete necessary banking activities before conditions worsen.
Both the JN Member Care Centre and the Jamaica Automobile Association (JAA) will remain open to assist members throughout the storm. These services can be accessed through the toll-free lines for JN Member Care Centre (888-991-4065) and the JAA (888-CALL JAA or 888-225-5522).
The JAA may also be reached via 876-878-2886, 876-389-8705, 876-522-1522, 876-929-1200 (Flow), and 888-225-5522 (Flow toll-free).
JN is urging all Jamaicans to stay informed through trusted media outlets and to heed updates from official agencies such as the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), and municipal authorities.
