#EyeOnMelissa: Montego Bay displays signs of normalcy as disaster looms
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Despite sporadic showers throughout the day on Sunday, Montego Bay continues to exhibit signs of normalcy.
While a number of buildings have been closed, individuals could be seen going to supermarkets and other places.
One individual said she was doing some last-minute shopping as she exited a supermarket on St James Street.
There were taxis operating as normal, waiting for individuals to take to various destinations.
It’s uncertain when things will devolve into storm conditions, but so far, precautions have been taken in certain areas, such as the airport which closed at midday on Sunday.
A recent release from the Western Regional Health Authority also called on individuals to pick up their discharged loved ones.
