#EyeOnMelissa: St Ann feeling wrath of Category 5 storm
ST ANN, Jamaica — Residents of Priory, St Ann were feeling the impacts of Hurricane Melissa even before the category five storm made landfall just before midday on Tuesday.
Evadney Mills told Observer Online that her son had lost his roof Monday night and so she was making a stop at the gas station to fuel up to go to the hardware store for zinc to make repairs.

Despite the early signs of damage, Mills said she remains grateful.
Observer Online also witnessed fallen trees and scattered debris in several areas. A large tree has also partially fallen near the heavily used roundabout in St Ann, though the road remains passable for now.
The Met Service of Jamaica continues to warn residents to brace for sustained winds, heavy rainfall and possible flooding as Hurricane Melissa makes landfall.
