Other performers include Ciara, Foreigner, Debbie Gibson, Jewel, Lil Jon, Kool & the Gang, Taylor Momsen, Busta Rhymes and Teyana Taylor.
“It’s official, I will be performing in the Macy’s 99th Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s been a dream of mine, and I tell you what, it’s extra special this time because I get to rep my country, Jamaica, especially in our hard times we’re going through right now. My heart goes out to everybody affected by this hurricane; it’s just been rough,” he said as he held the Jamaican flag. “We’re gonna be there on Thanksgiving morning rocking some dancehall, some reggae music, bringing a vibe and repping the culture.”
In making the announcement to the international press, Kim Anderson, senior brand manager of the JENNIE-O® brand, said this year’s celebration is also special for the brand as they partner with Shaggy. She said the Jamaican entertainer is expected to bring “an exciting new twist to our beloved float”.
