Fiwi Campus, Suppline, Charitable Hearts and Nakama Group collab for hurricane relief drive
Entertainment and events company Fiwi Campus has joined forces with Suppline, Charitable Hearts and the Nakama Group for a hurricane relief drive to support families affected by Hurricane Melissa.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer on Monday, Jevaughn Bell, CEO, Fiwi Campus, explained why he decided to start the relief drive.
“[W]e knew this couldn’t be a one-organisation effort. Fiwi Campus joined forces with Suppline, Charitable Hearts, and the Nakama Group to create a united relief drive that combines our reach, networks, and resources. Together we can mobilise faster and make a greater impact across affected communities, especially in areas where recovery support is limited,” said Bell.
Bell disclosed that, “The relief efforts will be targeted at affected areas in Manchester and Middle Quarters [St Elizabeth] and we’re hoping to extend the support to Whitehouse, Westmoreland. These communities have experienced significant flooding and displacement, and we’re prioritising them to ensure help reaches those in urgent need.”
People wishing to donate items are encouraged to utilise the main drop-off point at Walkity Talk, 90 Barbican Road.
The drive is scheduled to initially run for one week.
“We’re keeping it centralised to make coordination and sorting as efficient as possible before distribution. Donations can also be made through the national initiative at supportjamaica.gov.jm/donate,” said Bell.
Fiwi Campus has staged several successful events, among them Fiwi Soun, Fiwi Pool Par, and Gen Now.
