Rifle among two illegal firearms seized in St James
ST JAMES, Jamaica — The police in St James seized two illegal firearms, including a rifle, in the community of Wales Pond on Tuesday.
According to a report, the police were acting on information and went to the area where they conducted a search and the weapons were found.
A M4 Carbine rifle with a magazine containing 33 5.56 cartridges and Para 9mm pistol with a magazine containing 20 9mm rounds were found by the team in the operation around 9:00 pm. No one was taken into custody but was found wrapped in a red and white bag in an abandoned building.
