Alchemy of Souls made a triumphant return to the winners’ circle on Saturday, October 25, 2025, securing victory in a three-year-old non-winners of two event over 7 ½ furlongs (1,500m). Trained by Jason DaCosta and ridden by Phillip Parchment, the colt demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination.

The race got off to a slow start for Alchemy of Souls, who settled near the rear of the field. However, Parchment’s measured and tactical ride allowed him to conserve energy and position the colt perfectly. As the field approached the final turn, Alchemy of Souls began to make his move, gradually improving position and closing the gap on the leaders.

Khaleesi, partnered by leading rider Raddesh Roman, had taken a clear lead entering the home stretch. However, Alchemy of Souls showed impressive speed and stamina, responding to Parchment’s urging and beginning to reel in the leader.

As Khaleesi’s momentum began to slow in the final furlong, Alchemy of Souls seized the opportunity, continuing to gain ground and eventually passing Khaleesi in the last strides to win by half a length.
Midnight Runner (Shane Richardson) finished third with a final time recorded in 1:35.3. The win marked Alchemy of Souls’ second career victory in 14 starts, with career earnings now exceeding $3 million.
