Nelson rides Glorious Revenge in Woodbine opener
Dane “Warrior Chief” Nelson is gearing up for another exciting stint at the famous Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Canada. The four-time Jamaican champion jockey has been making waves on the international circuit since 2015, and he’s looking to add another impressive performance to his resume.
With a string of 484 wins, 443 seconds, and 402 thirds from 2,510 mounts in Canada including three jockey’s championship titles, Nelson knows a thing or two about getting the job done. And he’s determined to finally break through at Woodbine, where he’s yet to score a win.
Nelson has secured one ride on Saturday’s 11-race programme. Nelson will ride the Anthony Pottinger
Glorious Revenge in the opening race. In the field of eight runners, Glorious Revenge has been adjusted morning line odds of 20-1.
Nelson made his debut at Woodbine on November 4, 2015 and from his very first ride he finished aboard
Wild Dyna, a length and three quarters behind the winner Splashy Gizmo, ridden by Luis Contreras in the six-and-one-half-furlong event.
