High certainty that blood found in Maitland apartment was Donaldson’s – expert
A seven-member jury heard on Tuesday that there was a 99.9999 per cent chance that blood samples found inside Constable Noel Maitland’s Chelsea Manor apartment in St Andrew belonged to his missing social media influencer girlfriend, Donna-Lee Donaldson.
Maitland is on trial in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston for murder and preventing the lawful burial of a corpse in relation to the July 12, 2022 disappearance of Donaldson who was last seen at the apartment complex where Maitland lived.
The current witness on the stand, who is a senior fireside science officer, said that blood samples were taken from three items inside Maitlands apartment. The sample were tested to see if it matched the DNA of Donaldson.
