Curfew imposed across sections of southern parishes
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has imposed a curfew across sections of Manchester, St Elizabeth and Westmoreland, beginning Wednesday night, as part of ongoing security operations in the southern parishes.
According to the police, the curfew will take effect from 10:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12 to 6:00 am on Thursday, November 13, and again from 10:00 pm on Thursday, November 13 to 6:00 am on Friday, November 15.
The operation extends from the start of the Spur Tree main road in Manchester to the border of St Elizabeth and Westmoreland, covering several key areas including Gutters, Goshen, Santa Cruz, Content, Rocky Hill, Lacovia, Holland Bamboo, Middle Quarters, Luana, Brompton, Sandy Ground, Crawford, Font Hill, and adjoining communities.
During the curfew hours, residents within the boundaries are required to remain indoors, with the exception of essential workers or individuals who have been granted written authorisation from the ground commander.
