The Best of Johnny Nash re-enters Billboard Reggae Albums chart
In its third appearance on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, The Best of Johnny Nash, a 16-song compilation of hits by the late Johnny Nash, re-enters at #10.
The compilation, released in 1991, entered the chart at #5 a week after the popular singer died in October 2020.
The Best of Johnny Nash was released by Sony Music Entertainment UK Limited and it features I Can See Clearly Now, Hold Me Tight, covers of Guava Jelly and Stir it Up, and All I Have to Do Is Dream.
Elsewhere on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Legend by Bob Marley and the Wailers log 304-nonconsecutive weeks at #1, while Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection remains at #2.
Dutty Rock by Sean Paul, World on Fire by Stick Figure, and Greatest Hits by UB40 are #3, #4, and #5, while Wisdom by Stick Figure, and it’s very own Set in Stone hold down the #6 and #7 spots.
Welcome to Jamrock by Damian Marley and Bob Marley’s Exodus complete the top ten at #8 and #9.
Over on the US Afrobeats Songs chart, Shake it to the Max (Fly) remix by Moliy, Silent Addy, Skillibeng, and Shenseea returns to #1 (after ruling the chart for 25 weeks then losing its grip to Tyla’s Chanel).
Meanwhile, Body Go by Moliy and Tyla backtracks from #9 to #11, and Getting Paid by Sarz, Asake, Wizkid, and Skillibeng slips from #18 to #20 after reaching #5.
Body Go by Moliy and Tyla debuts at #37 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, while Travis Scott’s
PBT, featuring Vybz Kartel and Tyla, stays put at #9.
You Remind Me by DJ Khaled featuring Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, Mavado, RoryStoneLove, and Kayann Arnold, is firm at #25.
Shenseea’s latest release, Boss Up, debuts at #10 on Germany’s Urban chart, while over in New Zealand it enters at #21.
Ready Or Not by Jamaican-born Jurney Star continues to dominate the #1 spot on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart. Wheel and Come Again by Skystar is #5, Loving Forever by Teshara is at #6, They Will Try by Fiyah Locks is #9, and Insecurity by Johnson Code closes out at #10.
There’s a new #1 on the New York Reggae chart, a cover of Elton John’s Nikita by Kenne Blessin takes over.
In Our Sight by Skip Marley inches up from #4 to #2, while Who’s Loving You by Kevoy Clarke rises from #18 to #15.
Fear No Evil by Papa Michigan enters at #30.
A cover of the CeCe Winans hit song Come Jesus Come, recorded by Sherell Rosegreen, takes over the #1 spot on the South Florida Reggae chart. However, Where Do I Fit In by Kashief Lindo poses a big threat, as it moves up from #4 to #3.
Lila Ike and Protoje’s All Over the World steps up from #18 to #14, while Trench Town Legend by Alborosie creeps from #21 to #19.
A remix of Pitta Patta by Ernie Smith and Ed Robinson debuts at #23.
