Sales clerk caught with expired food handler’s permit
CLARENDON, Jamaica — A sales clerk was arrested and charged with selling baked goods with an expired food handlers permit during an operation in Four Paths, Clarendon on Wednesday.
Charged is 27-year-old Deandrea Dyer of Howells Content, York Town in the parish.
According to reports, Dyer was observed selling baked goods in a shop. The lawmen went and enquired about the certification for the facility and the permit to sell food in accordance with the Public Health Act.
The documents were produced, and Dyer’s food handler’s permit was found to be expired. She was informed of the offence and subsequently charged.
She is to appear in the May Pen Court on Thursday, January 15, 2025.
