Another One set to romp home in feature race

The $1.25-million StarGas United Racehorse Trainers’ Association of Jamaica (URTAJ) Trophy takes centre stage as racing returns to Caymanas Park tomorrow. A field of 13 runners is down to compete in the Restricted Overnight Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over 6 furlongs (1,200m).

Below is the analysis of each runner and their chances of winning.

1. KWAKU: (7 b h by Casual Trick – Darlin) — No form to recommend here, making him a long shot in this race.

2. SUPER ALEX: (5 ch h by Admiral Alex – Jamaican Pharoah) – Has been consistent at this level in recent times, but is expected to be left behind in this competitive field.

3. ZULU WARRIOR: (4 ch c by Soul Warrior – Lookatmenow) — Was beaten by a ½ length behind Mr Senator on October 25 over 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m). Although facing tougher rivals, Zulu Warrior can go one better here.

4. ALLEGIANCE: (4 ch c by Midnight Hawk – Princess Geeta) — Although he may need more real estate to be fully effective, don’t write off Allegiance here, he might cause an upset with his strong finishing ability.

5. PROVIDENT: (4 ch c by Sensational Slam – Dream Point)— Is going to be left behind in this one, making him a horse to avoid.

6. I DREAM AGAIN: (3 b c by Soul Warrior – Lady Najariya) — This year’s Jamaica Derby winner who has done nothing in his two starts at this level. I Dream Again should be able to get among the earners here, but may struggle to win.

7. CALIFORNIA GOLD: (5 b h by Lion Tamer – Blue Saphira) — Has no chance whatsoever of winning, making him a horse to bypass.

8. HUNTSMAN: (5 ch h by Key to Power – Dream Point) — Should run well without actually winning.

9. COMEHOMETOME: (4 b f by Northern Giant – Heart of Gold) — Don’t really show anything from three starts at this level. However, based on class and talent, Comehometome is expected to make a brave bid here and could surprise.

10. ANOTHER ONE: (3 b c by Aveenu Malcainu – Chintagoodaz) — Easily the horse to beat here. Another One had two previous starts at this level, finishing third on both times. This should be an easy assignment for Another One who is expected to romp home.

11. OIL MACHINE: (4 ch c by Bern Identity – Keep the Faith) — There’s no faith in Oil Machine to do good here.

12. KING’S CROWN: (4 ch c by Berlino Di Tiger – Dancing Queen) — Can safely be bypassed, given his lack of form.

13. COOKIE DAY N NIGHT: (5 ch h by Resurgence – Eloping Emma) — Should struggle among these horses.
