Foster returns home, set for busy weekend at Caymanas Park
Tevin Foster is back in Jamaica, and the excitement is building! After a thrilling first season riding in Canada, where he notched up 14 wins, 23 seconds, and 29 thirds from 173 mounts, earning CAN$252,194, Foster has secured 10 rides over the weekend.
As he returns to his home track, Foster is set to make his presence felt, with a packed schedule of mounts on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, he’ll be riding Cassini for trainer Adrian Prince in the opening race, followed by Dancing Aviator for Jason DaCosta in the third. The day will heat up with Green Gold Rush for Ryan Darby in the sixth, J Spieth for DaCosta in the eighth, and wrapping up with Provident for DaCosta in the final event.
Sunday promises to be just as action-packed, with Foster aboard Princess Fiannie for Omar Williams in the first, Money Monster for Adrian Prince in the fourth, and the highly anticipated St Elizabeth Distaff, where he’ll ride Fearless Force for Anthony Nunes. The Port Royal Sprint sees him teamed up with Is That A Fact for DaCosta, and he’ll finish the weekend riding Girvano for DaCosta in the Jamaica Cup.
It’s a big weekend for Foster, and all eyes will be on him. And what a backdrop — the island is still recovering from the devastating impact of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa, which rampaged across it on October 28.
