St James Parish Court resumes operation
The St James Parish Court resumed full operations on Monday, November 17, 2025, following disruptions by Hurricane Melissa.
This was announced by the Judiciary of Jamaica in a statement on Monday.
“Gun Court and Circuit Court matters are currently being addressed, while efforts continue to stabilise infrastructure and ensure a safe environment for staff and court users,” the Judiciary of Jamaica said in a statement.
It further noted that it is actively working to restore full operations in the parish.
“We remain committed to restoring normal court operations as quickly as possible and express appreciation to staff, stakeholders, and members of the public for their patience and understanding during this recovery period,” it said.
