Jamaica and Curacao tied at halftime in WCQ
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica and Curacao were locked at 0-0 after 45 minutes in their crucial Concacaf World Cup final round Group B qualifying second leg game at the National Stadium on Tuesday.
Jamaica must win if they are to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1998 as they trail the visitors by one point 12-11 in the final game of the round.
Roared on by a capacity crowd at the National Stadium with several thousands on the outside, Jamaica led by Shamar Nicholson created a few good chances but are still waiting for the break through.
Curacao had their chances as well but have failed to get past goalkeeper Andre Blake who pulled off a good save in the 15th minute from Leandro Bacuna.
In the other group game, Trinidad and Tobago were leading Bermuda 1-0 at half time. Defender Kobi Henry scored in the ninth minute in the game that is being played in Port of Spain.
Both Trinidad and Tobago and Bermuda are out of contention to advance.
