Jamaica Flour Mills provides support to communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa
KINGSTON, Jamaica — In an effort to support those impacted by Hurricane Melissa, Jamaica Flour Mills, a subsidiary of global food processing and commodities company ADM, is contributing US$100,000 to the Food for the Poor Jamaica Hurricane Relief Fund.
The donations will be made through ADM Cares, ADM’s corporate social investment programme, and proceeds go towards providing food supplies to those affected.
The contribution is also being used to ensure flour produced by the mill is reaching populations and affected areas in most need.
The programme helps sustain and strengthen communities where ADM colleagues work, live and operate by directing funding, volunteerism and industry knowledge to initiatives and organisations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide.
