Donovan Lewis to close St George’s College lecture series
KINGSTON, Jamaica — St George’s College will conclude its three-part lecture series with a presentation from entrepreneur Donovan Lewis.
Lewis, an investor and wealth manager, will deliver the final instalment of the Pioneers of Tomorrow series to sixth form students and peers from schools across the island on Tuesday, December 2 at the Abe Issa Auditorium.
His presentation will focus on his professional experience in business and finance, as well as themes of resilience, confidence and navigating opportunity. Organisers said the topic of resilience is especially significant as schools continue to deal with the impact of Hurricane Melissa.
Lewis is the founder of the Children’s Health, Education and Wealth Foundation (CHEW) which, in partnership with several organisations, is providing short- and long-term assistance to families affected by the hurricane.
The foundation’s work supports children in state care through investment-driven initiatives.
He is also the founder of the Ideal Group of Companies, serves as a director for several financial institutions, and is involved in real estate development.
The lecture series, designed to introduce students to notable Jamaican professionals, has so far featured speakers from a range of fields. A strong turnout is expected for the closing event.
