Competitive-looking division two for Racehorse Aftercare Trophy
Ten runners are lined up for Division Two of the $1.25-million Racehorse Aftercare Trophy, an Overnight Allowance for three-year-olds and up, run over 5 furlongs (1,000m) straight.
Here’s the analysis of each runner and their winning chances.
1.MINIATURE MAN: (7 ch g by Northern Giant – Runaway Gal) – Returns to competitive racing from nearly a two-year break. Miniature Man is going to be left behind in this one.
2. MAJOR DANGER (USA): (5 b h by Majestic City – Clean Eleven) – Major Danger is a very consistent sort who should no problems venturing over the straight course. He has trained well and could go home as the winner.
3. TRAIN OG THOUGHT (USA): (4 dk b/br f by Mor Spirit – Equitable) – Can safely be bypassed.
4. J SPIETH: (4 gr c by Spieth – Alice and Trixie) – Has no chance of winning.
5. LABAN: (8 b h by Sensational Slam – For Trixie) – Returns from an eight-month break.
Laban is going to need a run or two to get fit.
6. FLORINDIA (USA): (4 dk b/br f by Gone Astray – Flaring) – Capable sort who has one win from five starts on local soil, so far. Florindia has worked well coming into this race and is expected to run accordingly. Note: Tongue-tie on and Figure-8 on.
7. CHAMPION BUBBLER (USA): (6 b m by Tapiture – Countess Clare) – Has scored a hat-trick of wins over this distance back in March. Champion Bubbler, who steps down to compete here, could resume winning ways.
8. ATLANTIC CONVOY (CAN): (5 ch h by Stormy Atlantic – My Sweet Emily) – Struggling in recent times but has enough talent to make his presence felt here.
9. PRINCE AMMAN: (4 ch c by Sensational Slam – Fashionista) – Goes well over this distance.

10. A GIFT FROM BEN: (6 ch m by Here Comes Ben – Sage’s Giftbox) – One for the minor placing.
