Trelawny higgler dies after motorcycle crash
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A Trelawny higgler died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a parked truck along a section of the North Coast Highway in the parish on Thursday afternoon.
He has been identified as 45-year-old David Junior Myers, otherwise called “Junior,” of Zion district in Trelawny.
Reports are that about 5:30 pm, Myers was travelling along the Hague roadway on a Champion motorcycle when he reportedly lost control of the bike and slammed into a Ford Ranger motor truck that was parked along the roadway.
Myers sustained multiple serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
His death pushes to 20 the number of road fatalities recorded in Trelawny since the start of the year.
The Trelawny police have launched an investigation into the incident.
