Cop among four arrested after goats and gun seized in Clarendon
CLARENDON, Jamaica — A police constable is one of four men who have been arrested after lawmen intercepted a vehicle along the Morgan’s Pass main road in Clarendon on Sunday and seized three goats, a prohibited weapon and several other devices.
The constable is assigned to the Specialized Operations Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Reports are that, around 3:50 am, lawmen intercepted a grey Toyota Probox motorcar with the four men aboard, along with three goats. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a Glock 19 pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition, a Samsung A3q smartphone, an Apple laptop, an Infinity cellphone, and a one-strap bag. All items were seized.
No charges have been laid as yet; however, investigations continue.
