A master in music
Dear Editor,
His music, message, and thought transcended cliffs and mountains and went beyond the horizon.
His humanity was deep and crossed many rivers, seas, and oceans.
His understanding of our history and culture gained poignant expression in his trademark voice that patented invaluable lessons of history. He taught us the reality of sitting in limbo, but imbued us with faith in the certainty of tomorrow’s sunshine in the music and the promise of love’s solution.
His life was a musical theme of a wonderful world and beautiful people, and it defied seasons and geographical boundaries and was a timeless score.
Jimmy, thank you for giving that phenomenal Rock and Roll Hall of Fame experience. Thank you for that quality of reasoning and ideation that gave life greater height, breadth, depth, and meaning. Thank you for the “rebel in me” legacy: We all are one, now and forever.
