WATCH: Fire destroys several homes on Milk Lane
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Several families are left homeless after a fire destroyed houses on Milk Lane in Denham Town, Kingston Tuesday afternoon.
Reports are that about 1:00 pm, fire was seen coming from one of the houses.
A quick response by the Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB) prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings.

“Me run out, when me look so a fire me see, fire. So me just run out and when me run out me see she and she say to me say mama, mama, mama come. You can’t go through the gate a pure fire out here and them boy and she carry me on the house top. Lift me up on the house top because me couldn’t go up this and a razing fire deh here so. Them lift me up and me go up on the house top and me go up Laws Street,” said 77-year-old Abigail Akin during an interview with Observer Online as she recalled the incident.

The 77-year-old said all her belongings have been destroyed in the fire.
“All I have on me body is just this, just this, nothing else. Where I am going from here? I don’t know. I don’t know where I am going from here,” she added.
