Captin CC says if you seek loyalty, better ‘Buy a Dog’
ST JAMES, Jamaica- Emerging Montego Bay-based dancehall artiste Captin CC is generating a major buzz with his latest hilarious release, Buy a Dog.
The song is the lead single from his upcoming Unresolved EP.
“This song is a metaphor for the genuine connections we crave in life. Dogs are loyal companions, unlike people who might be motivated by ulterior motives, we all can relate to this one…young old, residents of any nation, creed or colour will surely agree and relate to it,” the artiste whose real name is Christopher Samuels, said.
The emerging powerhouse is gearing up to unleash his highly anticipated EP next year.
“This EP wasn’t done in a rush because it took me six months to complete, so I know it will be very much different than what to expect,” the artiste said.
This EP showcases Captin CC’s unique sound and emotional depth with a blend of reggae, Afrobeats, dancehall, sprinkled with pop-influenced flavour. He vows that Unresolved promises to be a ‘game-changer’.
“The people, especially the younger generation of this genre need more authentic vibes like this and Captin CC is ready to make a lasting impact on the music scene. I’m excited to finally share my music with the world,” Captin CC promised.
Fans can look out for another upcoming release, Sitting By the Still Water, in late November.
The EP Unresolved will be officially launched on February 3, 2026.
“It’s my time, and I’m ready to make my mark,” he vowed.
