Jodian Pantry unveils holiday single
Vocal powerhouse Jodian Pantry ushers in the holiday season with the release of her new single, My Christmas.
Produced by Paul “Patchy” Wright for IslandYard Productions, it offers listeners a message of love, reconnection, and renewed hope.
Written by Wright and Marie Walters Brown, My Christmas blends classic Christmas charm with an international crossover feel.
Wright, who arranged the harmonies, shared that the song was designed to embody the yearning for companionship during the festive season.
“The theme of My Christmas is love… The song communicates that feeling of total contentment with that special person in your life, especially at the ‘give love’ time of year” he shared, adding that he wrote the single specifically for Pantry.
“…My Christmas made me feel peace. It made me feel hopeful again. I even found myself wishing for a miracle, for love to finally find me this season,” she said.
The collaboration between Wright and Pantry was, according to her, divinely aligned.
“Patchy and I were brought together by God. I prayed for someone with his exact qualities, and then he reached out with songs for me. His creative direction, from melody to lyrical feel, was crafted with my sound, taste, and future in mind. It feels as if he sees the version of me I am becoming, and that is thoughtful beyond words,” she noted.
With the country still grappling with the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, Pantry hopes My Christmas will offer comfort and emotional healing to couples and families facing difficult times.
“I want husbands and wives, especially those holding on by a thread, to reconnect. The devil is out to kill, steal, and destroy. But under my voice, through this Christmas song, I pray that love will consume their hearts again,” she expressed.
Wright and Mardene Carr share executive producer credits, and it is mixed and mastered by Rohan Dwyer, recorded at Street Peeple Recording Studio and Island Base Recording Studio, and supported by musicians Lamont “Monty” Savory, Kaelon Wright, and Jermaine Williams.
