No stopping Sir Don in Mr Sensational Trophy
Sir Don hunts third consecutive win from as many starts in tomorrow’s $2-million Mr Sensational Trophy. The Graded Stakes contest for two-year-olds will run over 7 furlongs (1,400m).
The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a close look at each runner and their chances of winning.
1. COMUNA TRECE (USA): (2 b c by Maximum Security – My Anguilla) – Three starts so far without a win. Comuna Trece will still be a maiden after this race.
2. FIDELITY: (2 b g by Bern identity – Hush My Darling) – A winner on last who is not expected to repeat.
3. MIDNIGHT TRAVELLER: (2 ch f by Aveenu Malcainu – Esperanza) – A fighting winner on last, who is going to find winning a very tall order here.
4. FERNANDO: (2 ch c by Successful Native – Dancing Queen) – Showed promising when winning over 3 furlongs (600m) on August 23. Fernando is expected to run a good race here.
5. GOD’S PLAN: (2 ch c by Aveenu Malcainu – Fearless Abi) – Finished 9 ¾ lengths in second place behind Sir Don on October 18. With Sir Don present here, the chances of God’s Plan winning are very slim.
6. SALUTE THE DON: (2 ch c by Aveenu Malcainu – Abicadabby) – Was a length winner ahead of Fidelity over 3 furlongs. Salute The Don is going to find Sir Don too hot to handle.
7. SIR DON (USA): (2 b c by Spun to Run – Enamored) – Talented juvenile who is two from two.
Sir Don is a cut above these and the race should be another walk in the park for him.
