Prince Pine, Jamroc Dept make street wear collab
Popular Jamaican digital creator and comedian Prince Pine has collaborated with Jamaican clothing brand Jamroc Dept for a limited edition collection which debuted on November 23.
Part proceeds from sales will go towards assisting Hurricane Mellisa victims.
“It means a lot to have teamed up with the brand. From I just started to make content I’ve always had a liking for branding/fashion. I saw Jamroc Dept as the type of clothing I would wear myself, so it was a no-brainer for this collab,” the public figure, whose real name is K’Vonne Legore, told the Jamaica Observer.
The collection features branded T-shirts, crop tops, hats, and hoodies.
Adding that he has experienced his share of impact from the hurricane’s passage, Prince Pine is pleased to be lending a helping hand.
“I always like to help in anyway I can. I myself have suffered from the after-effects of the hurricane and also my family. I wouldn’t feel good knowing I wasted an opportunity to contribute,” he said.
Prince Pine rose to prominence over a decade through viral skits and character-driven content, building a large and loyal following across multiple platforms and establishing himself as one of Jamaica’s most recognisable creative voices.
Beyond comedy, he is an entrepreneur and creative strategist with ventures spanning content production, marketing, and brand development. His work includes major collaborations, high-performing promotional campaigns, and an expanding portfolio of projects that highlight his versatility and business acumen.
He anticipates that the latest collaboration will promote brand awareness and looks forward to the continued positive feedback.
“Mostly, I feel like it [the collection] can market itself. I will be doing my video skits showcasing it, and also my people around me, but mostly through social media on a whole,” he added.
Jamroc Dept is a Jamaican brand owned by Fernando Edwards. Its mission is about redefining streetwear.
