On Monday, November 10, over 60 Scotia volunteers rolled up their sleeves and joined forces with Food For The Poor to pack more than 2,000 care packages. Each package is filled with essential food items for families affected by the recent passage of Hurricane Melissa.
As part of its wider relief initiative Scotia Group Jamaica has contributed approximately $18 million to Food For The Poor Jamaica. The funding will help provide food, care packages, and other vital support to families across the island affected by the storm. This donation is part of Scotia Group’s $165-million national allocation for hurricane relief, recovery, and resilience efforts.
