KCCC brings music of comfort, joy
Kingston College Chapel Choir (KCCC) will host its annual Christmas concert on Sunday, December 14 at the historic St Augustine Chapel, North Street, Kingston.
Themed ‘Tidings of Comfort and Joy’, this year’s presentation will be more than a celebration of music; it is a tribute to resilience and encouragement — a concert of hope and healing — for those impacted by Hurricane Melissa.
The concert promises an inspiring evening where music becomes a beacon of hope.
Audiences will experience beloved carols from Jamaica and around the world, and join in community singing that uplifts the spirit.
The chapel choir will be accompanied by the Fortis Friends Chamber Orchestra, acclaimed pianist Livingston Burnett, and led by its conductor Audley Davidson.
This year every ticket purchased is a donation. Proceeds will support the Kingston College Chapel Choir and contribute to the recovery efforts at St Hilda’s Diocesan High School, which sustained severe damage during Hurricane Melissa. Kingston College shares a long-standing relationship with St Hilda’s, hosting its annual summer music retreat at the school, a tradition cherished by choir members. With dormitories and other facilities badly damaged, the choir is committed to assisting in the school’s restoration.
