Danielle Archer resigns as NIA principal director
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Attorney-at-law Danielle Archer has resigned as principal director of the National Integrity Action (NIA).
This was announced by the organisation on Monday in a media release. According to the NIA, Archer’s resignation will take effect on December 31, 2025.
“Miss Archer’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping NIA’s reform agenda. Her dedication to values-driven governance and her ability to inspire change will continue to resonate across the institutions she has touched,” said the NIA chairperson, Dr Lynden Rose.
NIA said it will initiate the process of appointing a new principal director to ensure continuity of operations and the advancement of its strategic priorities.
Meanwhile, Archer expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve, stating: “It has been an honour to lead NIA in its mission to build cultures of integrity. I remain committed to supporting Jamaica’s reform journey and to advancing the principles of integrity and accountable governance wherever my path leads.”
The organisation said Archer has served with distinction, bringing visionary leadership, strategic clarity, and an unwavering commitment to integrity in public life.
“During her tenure, she advanced NIA’s mission to strengthen accountability frameworks, championed reforms that reinforced democratic safeguards, and sustained the organisation as a trusted partner in governance transformation,” NIA added.
It said Archer’s departure marks the closing of a challenging chapter in NIA’s history. The organisation’s board of directors also extended their profound gratitude for her service, noting that her contributions have left an indelible mark on Jamaica’s integrity landscape.
