Zantelley enjoys success with Pretty Niki
Dancehall artiste Zantelly has a very eclectic taste in music and he’s not afraid to let it show in his music.
“Growing up in Jamaica I was exposed to many different genres of music. On the radio you’d hear reggae, dancehall, hip hop, R&B, soca, calypso, and even jazz. This helped me to develop an eclectic taste in music which is reflected in the music I make. Although I am a dancehall artiste I don’t limit myself to one genre of music, I like to experiment with different genres and sounds including reggae, Afrobeat, and soca,” said the artiste.
The Portland-born deejay, who lists Garnet Silk, Capleton, Sizzla, Wizkid, and Vybz Kartel among his musical influences is currently promoting a hot new Afrobeat track titled Pretty Niki.
“I’m getting a lot positive feedback about this song from my fans and music industry insiders. Everyone is saying it’s going to be a hit and I believe with the right kind of promotion it’s going to blow up. That’s why my team and I are pushing it so hard,” said Zantelly.
He is also promoting two new singles, TakeOver, which is a spin-off of Vybz Kartel and Skillibeng’s New Gear single, and Neva Believe, which was produced by St Thomas-based producers Antsman Records and Hustlas Family.
“These two new songs are gaining a lot of traction in the streets. We’re going to put some serious promotion behind them,” he shared.
Zantelly, given name Ajay Harris, was born and raised in Port Antonio but has been residing in Montreal, Canada, since 2019.
In 2012 he launched his recording career with a single titled Wine Up on the ILmatic Records Label, which was produced by Marly B.
