Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw nets 100th goal for Man City
MANCHESTER, United Kingdom — Contributing four goals to Manchester City’s 6-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw propelled her team six points clear in the Women’s Super League (WSL), scoring her 100th goal for the team.
A BBC Sport report describing Shaw as ‘easily the best player on the pitch’ detailed the milestone.
The Jamaican is the first Manchester City women’s player to hit the milestone in the club’s professional era, the report said.
Her first goal of the match was her 100th goal for her team, and she went on to score three more after, with two supporting goals from Vivianne Miedema and Aoba Fujino.
The report hailed her “astonishing” goal-scoring ratio as she now has 103 goals in 120 appearances for Manchester City.
Manchester City posted Shaw, hailed as player of the match following the game, with the caption ‘She did that!’
The club will end 2025 a whole six points ahead of WSL champions Chelsea.
