Excelsior and JC set up Manning Cup final showdown
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Excelsior High and Jamaica College (JC) marched into the final of the ISSA Wata Manning Cup with convincing semi-final wins over Eltham High and St Andrew Technical High (STATHS) at the National Stadium on Tuesday.
Excelsior dismissed Eltham High 3-1 while JC whipped STATHS 4-0 and will meet in the championship decider on Friday.
Terrence Williams scored twice for Excelsior, netting in the 50th and 82nd minutes, after the outstanding Kimarly Scott opened the scoring in the 45th minute.
Steven Bull scored a consolation for Eltham High in the 70th minute but could not propel Eltham to a famous comeback.

In the feature encounter, title favourites JC turned in a commanding performance, beating STATHS 4-0 in a display that would have sent shivers down their opponents’ spines entering the final.
Duwayne Burgher scored twice, in the 32nd and 68th minutes, while Jamone Lyle (38th) and Jamoy Dennis (63rd) completed the rout.
The stage is now set for the grand finale on Friday, with JC hunting a record-extending 29th title, having last won in 2022, and Excelsior searching for their eighth, having last won in 2004.
