UPDATE: Two of three men identified in Rose Heights fatal shooting
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Two of the three men who were killed Monday in an alleged confrontation with members of security forces in Rose Heights, St James have been identified.
According to the police, they are 40-year-old Herman Richards otherwise called “Lizard” of a Forty One Boulevard address in the community, and 27-year-old Jerome Whitter otherwise called “JJ” of Love View Crescent also of Rose Heights.

The third man remains unidentified but is of brown complexion, medium built and was clad in a blue patterned T-shirt and green shorts.
During the incident two firearms were seized, one black Taurus 9MM pistol with a magazine containing one 9MM round. The other was a Smith and Wesson .40 pistol with a magazine containing five .40 rounds.
The incident has since been reported to the Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (IPROB) and the Independent Commission of Investigations (Indecom).
