JUTC to convert 610Ex Ocho Rios to Kingston service to regular route

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) says the 610Ex Ocho Rios to Kingston service will be converted to a regular route tentatively, effective Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Corporate Communications Manager Shantole Thompson noted, “This adjustment reflects our commitment to listening to our commuters and making meaningful changes that improve affordability and access. Feedback from our customers is important to us, and the conversion of the 610Ex to a regular route is a direct response to what our commuters asked for.”

Under the new regular-route structure, fares will be cash adult $550; card adult $500; concession – senior (card) $250; and concession – child/student/disabled (card) $250.

JUTC encouraged customers to take advantage of the lower fares, particularly by using their SmartFare cards for added convenience and savings.
