Roxanne Robinson takes on a classic

Recording artiste Roxanne Robinson has released her rendition of the classic Christmas song Oh Holy Night.

The December 8 release was produced by LovelyTones Laboratory (Benjamin Asuakoh).

“My hope is to see people smile again, dance again, love again; no matter the circumstances life may bring this holiday season. Rejoice in the Lord, make his name ring loud in the hearts of his people across nations,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

Adding that she loves the cheerful and hopeful nature of the song, the entertainer looks to spread those sentiments.

“This track is my all time favourite holiday gem revamped into a classical timeless masterpiece. It speaks of everything that took place at the cradle on that holy night,” she said.

Robinson released the album Still Standing in October 2024. It featured collaborations from Pastor Richard Brown, Arriel Hall, and Michael Manhertz.

Some of the tracks are Awesome God, Great God, My Love, Days of Elijah, Caribbean Medley, Jesus, Release, and Release Your Power.

She also released Caribbean Medley, which has upwards of one million digital streams.

Meanwhile, the singer noted that the success of Oh Holy Night is thanks to a joint effort.

“I would like to thank my producer Benjamin and his wife Nessa Asuakoh [her vocal coach], who masterfully demonstrated excellence, patience, and integrity on this project,” she said.
