Clarendon cop, unlicensed to drive, in hot water after crashing police vehicle
CLARENDON, Jamaica – A police constable assigned to the May Pen Police Station is being questioned over the alleged unauthorised use of a service vehicle which ended up being extensively damaged in a crash Thursday morning.
Observer Online understands that the cop, who is not the holder of a valid driver’s license, took the service vehicle without the knowledge or authorisation of the assigned officer.
According to sources, the incident occurred sometime after 3am.
It is understood that the constable embarked on a journey in May Pen when, upon reaching a section of the road, he lost control of the vehicle, which collided with a wall and overturned in a gully.
There were no reported injuries, but the vehicle was said to be extensively damaged.
