Racing end Mount Pleasant’s unbeaten run in JPL
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica—Racing United surprised Mount Pleasant FA 1-0 in their rescheduled Jamaica Premier League game played at Ferdie Neita Park on Wednesday.
Damion Herrera came off the bench to score the winning goal in time added at the end of the second half to give Racing their first-ever win over the former champions and move them past Portmore United into second place.
Racing improved to 25 points, one behind leaders Montego Bay United, and one more than Portmore, who slipped into third place.
Mount Pleasant, who were losing for the first time this season, remain in fourth place on 16 points, just ahead of defending champions Cavalier on goal difference.
