48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Elgin Town
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Elgin Town, Lucea, in the Hanover Police Division.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm, on Thursday, December 18, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm, on Saturday, December 20.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North: Entrance of the molasses plant in Eligin Town along an imaginary line to the back of Binns Lane in Elgin Town.
South: From the Kew bridge along the Elgin Town Back Road to the Aston King bridge along the Elgin Main Road.
East: From the back of Binns Lane along an imaginary line leading to the old Kew Bridge.
West: From the Aton King Bridge along the Elgin Town Main Road to the entrance of the molasses plant in Elgin Town.
During the hours of the curfew, people within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
