Clarendon College edge Cornwall College to claim Ben Francis Cup
Clarendon College won their fifth ISSA Ben Francis Cup title on Saturday, beating Cornwall College 2-1 in the final played at the National Stadium.
Nicholy Forbes came off the bench to score the winner, breaking a 1-1 deadlock in a game where both teams wasted numerous scoring chances.
Clarendon College, who were the beaten finalists last season, added to the titles won in 1989, 1990, 1998 and 2017, and denied Cornwall College a record eighth hold.
Nayar Anderson, who was named MVP of the game, gave Clarendon College the lead in the 10th minute, dribbling down the left side before firing low into the far corner.
Cornwall College responded five minutes later when Mekhi Foster scored with a vicious shot from just inside 18 yards.
Forbes glanced a corner into the far right corner of the goal in the 73rd minute for the winner.
