WATCH: Woman dead, daughter and grandkids injured, in Manchester crash

MANCHESTER, Jamaica— A 57-year-old woman is dead and three other people, including her daughter and two grandchildren, have been hospitalised after the car they were travelling in went off road into a precipice off New Green Road near Martin’s Hill dump in Manchester on Sunday morning.

Preliminary reports are that about 8:00 am, the driver of a Nissan AD Wagon lost control and the car went 100 feet off-road into the precipice.

The driver reportedly contacted Big Rat Wrecking to alert the authorities after she had difficulties reaching the Mandeville Fire Station by telephone.

Firefighters, the police and passersby assisted in pulling the occupants from the mangled vehicle and the precipice.
