Dizneyland fun day to bring Christmas cheer to St Ann
Acknowledging that the Christmas season should prioritise wholesome family fun, Dizneyland Kids and Teen Festival promoter Streets Entertainment says it curated an event that is guaranteed to spread good cheer this yuletide season.
“Over the years, we realised that children did not have a safe space to have fun and enjoy themselves, especially during the Christmas season, and so we thought it would be a great idea to bring that fun and enjoyment to them this year,” said Kirkland Kelly of Streets Entertainment.
Set to be held at Turtle River Park in St Ann this Boxing Day, the event will cater to the entire family with clean entertainment and rides galore.
“Dizneyland is a family event that caters to all age groups and is guaranteed to be a good space for people to release stress and have a good time in a clean and safe space. It is also the first ride-inclusive family event in Jamaica where you pay one fee and ride all day,” Kelly said. “It’s the place to be on Friday, December 26, at Turtle River Park from 11 am –9 pm. Kids can come out and enjoy our wide array of rides for only $2500 while parents relax knowing they’re being occupied in a fun-filled environment.”
Part proceeds from the event will be donated to victims of Hurricane Melissa, with the organisers urging support for the event. Kelly shared that for the country to get up and running again, people need to prioritise the entertainment industry by turning up in droves at the countless events being hosted this Christmas season.
“As an entertainment group, we have always been giving back, and with Melissa destroying sections of the island, we decided to not just help the Mustard Seed community as we usually do, but to choose a community to help bring back some normalcy. That’s where some of the funds from this event will be going, and so it is important for us to keep the entertainment industry open as it provides jobs and revenue for a lot of people,” he said. “For us all to be able to help rebuild Jamaica, we have to keep the economy going. Yes, there will always be critics who will say that you are being selfish for providing entertainment while others are still homeless or without electricity, but each one to help one. We all need to be earning so that people can
