Joyful Sounds on Boxing Day for Seaforth, St Thomas
Gospel music lovers and worshippers are in for a treat on Friday, December 26, as the second staging of Joyful Sounds Worship Experience is set to unfold at Faith Gospel Hall church grounds in Seaforth, St Thomas.
Leading the charge in worship are Minister Donica Chambers, winner of the 2022 Gospel Touchdown and third-place finalist in the 2024 Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Gospel Star competition; Psalmist Yonique Taylor; gospel recording artiste Soldier for Christ (Godly Yuth); and Minister Simon.
Jowayne Hill, event planner for Joyful Sounds, told the Jamaica Observer on Friday that, “Joyful Sounds is about creating an atmosphere of authentic worship, unity, and spiritual renewal. It is a gathering where praise becomes a conduit for transformation, lifting hearts, strengthening faith, and touching lives with the power of God. More than just an event, Joyful Sounds seeks to bring the Seaforth and surrounding communities and Jamaica at large together, fostering connection, fellowship, and collective worship. Through music, praise, and heartfelt worship, it aims to impact lives, encourage spiritual growth, and inspire a sense of hope and purpose in everyone who attends.”
The event is free to the public.
“Our goal is not profit, but impact. By removing the barrier of cost, we are creating an open space where the entire community can gather freely to experience powerful worship, spiritual renewal, and fellowship. Making the event free reflects the heart of the vision and service, inclusivity, and the belief that God’s presence is a gift meant to be shared with all,” said Hill, while highlighting the overall objective of the event.
Hill said the event is promoted by FGH Muziq and targets a wide cross section of demographics.
“Joyful Sounds is designed for all ages and backgrounds, from children and youth to adults and seniors. While it strongly connects with young people and worship lovers, the event intentionally embraces families, church communities, and individuals across Jamaica who are seeking encouragement, healing, and a deeper worship experience,” Hill shared.
