Island Magnolia officially opened its doors Wednesday last, December 17, at the storied Round Hill Hotel and Villas, Hanover, ushering in a refined new retail experience curated by the celebrated Rousseau sisters Suzanne and Michelle.
The très chic affair attracted guests from across the island’s business and consular corps, who enjoyed tantalising bites from the hotel’s award-winning culinary team as well as Worthy Park Rum-crafted cocktails, and Wisynco’s recently launched Legend Beer ahead of copious doses of retail therapy.
“We conceived this space as an emporium dedicated to Caribbean and Latin American designers… Island Magnolia celebrates the rich artistry, craftsmanship, and cultural narratives of the region. The vision was born from a desire to spotlight regional talent while responding to a growing shift in guest preferences. Today’s travellers are increasingly drawn to acquiring authentic pieces from the places they visit, rather than being offered items from their home countries. With its thoughtful curation and regional focus, Island Magnolia adds a distinctive cultural dimension to the Round Hill experience,” Suzanne Rousseau shared.
