SERHA reports temporary delay in supplier payments due to banking issue
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) has advised that some suppliers will experience a delay in receiving payments that were scheduled to be processed on Tuesday.
In a press release, SERHA said the disruption is the result of a technical banking problem, which has affected the processing of payments to certain suppliers. The authority noted that the matter is being treated with urgency and that active engagement is underway with the relevant bank to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
According to SERHA, once the technical problem is rectified, all affected payments will be processed immediately.
The regional health authority apologised for any inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption.
SERHA also indicated that further updates will be provided as necessary, as efforts continue to resolve the issue.
