Three shot, one fatally, in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man was killed and two others injured in a gun attack in Cedar Grove district near Mandeville on Tuesday as the bloodshed continued in Manchester for a second consecutive night.

 

The deceased man has so far only been identified by his aliases, ‘Jomo’ and ‘Notnice’.

 

Preliminary reports are that about 9:07 pm, a number of people were at a shop at the entrance of Cedar Grove when armed men opened fire, hitting three individuals.

 

Residents and passersby assisted in rushing the injured people to hospital where one man died while undergoing treatment.

 

The other two people, a 23-year-old man and a 49-year-old man, were admitted for treatment.

 

This latest incident brings to four the number of people killed in Manchester within 48 hours.
