No stopping Money Market in Boxing Day Sprint
Seven runners are down to contest today’s $1.25-million Boxing Day Sprint, an Overnight Allowance event for three-year-olds and upward going 6½ furlongs (1,300m).
Below is the analysis of each runner and their chances of winning.
1.
SUPREMASI: (4 b c by Savoy Stomp – Beware Baby) – Finished fifth by 4¼ lengths behind Of a Revolution and Money Market in the Bruceontheloose Sprint on December 6. Supremasi is a very consistent sort and he is expected to run well here.
2.
MONEY MARKET: (5 b h by Successful Native – Soca Dancer) – Ran a very good race to finished second by 2 lengths behind Of a Revolution in the Bruceontheloose Sprint. Money Market is very much comfortable here and, based on that second-place finish, he should easily beat rivals here.
3.
HUNTSMAN: (5 ch h by Key to Power – Dream Point) – His only hope is for a minor placing.
4.
COMMANDER Z (USA): 4 ch c by Khozan – Wontoo) – Was just beaten by Another One over the straight on December 14. Commander Z also goes well around the bend and is expected to make a brave bid here.
5.
A GIFT FROM BEN: (6 ch m by Here Comes Ben – Sage’s Giftbox) – Has no chance of winning.
6.
MAJOR DANGER (USA): (5 b h by Majestic City – Clean Eleven) – Still without a win from nine starts this season. Major Danger is not expected to get off the mark here.
7.
