Former SSL executive in custody
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A former high-level executive of Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) is in police custody as investigations continue into the multi-million dollar fraud saga.
Observer Online understands that the former executive was taken into custody during a series of coordinated raids carried out by law enforcement at premises in St Andrew and St James. The operations form part of the ongoing probe into alleged fraudulent activities at SSL, which has been under investigation since 2023.

The raids involve a multi-agency team including the Financial Investigations Division (FID), the Constabulary Financial Unit (CFU), the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC), and the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA).
